Color of the Month
2016 was a long and difficult year. I thought it might be a good way to wrap things up on the last day of the month and, in fact, the last day of the year, to introduce a new monthly series. A fun post of 5-10 items that all have one thing in common, they’re all the same color.
As we thankfully say goodbye to 2016, we’re going to kick things off with gold. The color is a symbol of wealth and success. Things of particularly high quality are said to be the ‘gold standard’. At one time, having a gold edition of a certain credit card meant your spending power exceeded that of the typical cardholder. Entire civilizations were created and destroyed based on their ability to control the precious metal.
Let’s stare down the long, cold winter ahead of us, with a pep in our step and a gold sparkle in our eye.
