My Favorite Healthy Snacks


This really should be titled My Favorite Healthy Snacks & Small Meals, because I’ll often eat something small 4 or 5 times throughout the day, instead of 2 or 3 big meals.

For clarity’s sake, here are some brands, etc. of what I use:

peanut butter – Jif Natural Creamy

popcorn – Orville Redenbacker’s 100 calorie pack Kettle Corn

protein bar – There are a lot of protein bars with FAR fewer calories, but I used the calorie count for my favorite which is GoMacro Sweet Rejuvenation Cashew Butter. I’ve only been able to find them at Whole Foods Market.

chocolate milk – True Moo 1%

string cheese – Kraft Mozzarella String Cheese 2%

hummus – Sabra Original

dark chocolate – Godiva

applesauce – Musselman’s Cinnamon single serves

vanilla yogurt – Dannon Light & Fit

A few other notes:
I will eat the Cheerios with or without milk, but the Cinnamon Life only with milk.
I eat pita bread with hummus.
I will usually drink a glass of milk if I’m eating a protein bar.
